Shadowmoor - Elves and Hags

On Lorwyn, the elves considered themselves the most beautiful and therefore the best beings on the plane. After the Great Aurora, they are now alone in an ugly plane, struggling to survive and defending any beauty that remains.

Elves

The Elves were masters of Lorwyn, but on Shadowmoor they are the besieged protectors of Beauty, the last Hope for the plane. They have learned to draw any beauty and life they can from the blasted land, and their scouts search the land for anything that is good and pure. Once found, they bring these things to their safeholds to keep them secure from the corrupt world. Sometimes they will even go on the offensive, hunting evil creatures and eliminating them.

Haga

Less common than elves, there are two kinds of Hags on Shadowmoor. The Bog Hags are barely intelligent, living on the primal level of hunt or be hunted. The Gwyllions are somewhat more interesting. Much more intelligent, the Gwyllion are Shadowmoor's version of the mysterious witch that has much more power than it appears, and should be left alone when possible.
