The Schools of Magic - Giants in Lorwyn

The largest and strongest beings on Lorwyn, giants are mostly unconcerned with the smaller races. However, their fierce territoriality and single-minded nature mean that they will sometimes take offense from small things. If this happens to you, good luck, for an angry giant is a sight to behold, though you will not be around long enough to appreciate it. However, if you continue reading you might just learn enough to escape with your life.

Giants

As the largest creatures on Lorwyn, the giant's greatest advantage is their incredible Might. This is so intrinsic to their identity that they don't even consider it magic - it is only when non-giants emulate it that the abilities become magical. This mostly expresses in simple effects - the weight of a giant stepping on a creature, or hurling something a long distance.

While their might will ensure that they are mostly left alone, it is their single-minded Focus that makes them so dangerous. When a giant gets an idea in his head, nothing can dissuade him from seeing it through. This can be frightening to deal with, but if you can convince a giant to side with you, nothing can stand in your way.

There wasn't a whole lot to write about the giants, as their power is fairly simple and self explanatory. If you have any thoughts, leave a comment, then join me later as I talk about the only creatures who can occasionally match a giant's strength, the treefolk.
