Kithkin, the Peacekeepers of Tyranix

Sorry it's been so long since I last posted! The contest ended - I didn't win, though the plane that did deserved it! I'm going to post a few more things about Tyranix, then I'll put it up for entry into the Expanded Multiverse.

This time, we see what the Kithkin of Tyranix are like.

The physically weakest of the intelligent races of Tyranix, the Kithkin are not what a visiting planeswalker would expect to find as the primary peacekeeping force in The Order. The Thoughtweft, a simple empathic bond on most plains, has been strengthened here to the point that the Kithkin are able to share their senses. The unparallelled cooperation this allows enables them to subdue opponents much larger than them, and gives them the edge they need.

It is a common among Kithkin to pity the other races of their world. It is their belief that the Thoughtweft is the only thing that can truly ensure peace. It is because of this belief that they have sought to push the limitations of what it can do. They are unable to permanently integrate a member of another species yet, but it is possible, with great effort, to temporarily induct an individual. This causes varied responses. Some find it the most comforting feel in the world, knowing the emotions of those around them. Others find it violating, and react violently against the Kithkin they are now bonded too. A very small percentage have a much stronger reaction - they find themselves cut off from their own emotions forever after, and drive themselves to greater and greater excess in an attempt to fill the hole left behind.
