The Eirini Guild

Iroas is a mostly peaceful world, with the three major nations operating under an informal truce. This is mostly because the threat posed by the Maelstrom, Akyros and the Psaria force them to put aside their differences to survive. However, where there is free will, there is bound to be conflict, and this is where the Eirini come in.


In much the same way as the Nazarians, the Eirini are not a nation. They are a guild of diplomats and peacekeepers, sworn to create and enforce treaties that maintain the peace. Their origins are lost to time, though it is known that they existed during the Unification War, which they consider their greatest failing. And while it is known that a Paragon founded their order, only her name is still known, carried through the ages as the guild’s name.

Every city has an Eirini guildhouse, and most towns have at least one peacekeeper. They are called upon to mediate many disputes, from the petty grievances of a farmer to the potentially catastrophic battles of the nobility. Aiding them in this task is their unique form of magic, using the peridot soul gems and gold with designs that are reminiscent of chains and knots. These items are tied to the agreements that the Eirini arrange, and can provide the power to fulfill a deal or impose punishments on those who break their word. These punishments can range from revealing the nature of their crimes or inflicting pain, all the way up to crippling or death.
